The young designer exhibited his final degree collection at the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona

The IED Barcelona Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design alumnus Nio Roca was selected by DEXT FORCE Festival to exhibit his final degree collection, 'X EN UNA CRUZ' [‘X ON A CROSS’], and participate as a speaker in the panel discussion on AI applied to Fashion. Roca shared a panel with experts from the sector Roser Bagó, Director of Neural Fashion, and Mario Maran, Editor and Producer of Herdes Magazine. Maria Almenar, a journalist specialising in fashion, moderated the session.

‘X EN UNA CRUZ’ is an inclusive and timeless genderless proposal with which the young designer fuses retro-futuristic and rustic styles, mixing traditional and avant-garde fabrics. Roca worked with AI tools to develop the collection that won the Jordi Labanda Award for Best Fashion Illustration and received a Special Mention by the IEDxCommons Impact Award at the latest edition of Fashioners of the World.

Held at the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona on 4 and 5 October, the DEXT FORCE Festival is a unique initiative that combines a Web3 congress with an electronic music festival. The event attracts those passionate about creativity, music and creative collaboration from national and international origin with 15 hours of programming that includes more than 50 speakers, 30 creative artists and 2,500 visitors per day.
