The Master's Degree in Graphic Design gives you the theoretical-practical knowledge and technical skills you need to stand out from the crowd in this discipline, presenting relevant, contemporary proposals in your own unique style: printed and digital, static and motion graphics.

In the digital age, dynamism, flexibility and hybridization are the future of visual communication, so companies need designers who can face these challenges and provide solutions for a wide variety of contexts, formats and platforms. To respond to these new needs, this course goes beyond the traditional limits of the discipline and offers an updated and versatile learning process.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of graphic design, how to develop proposals and use digital tools, adopting typography and branding for flexible brands as a starting point for all your projects.

You’ll base some of your proposals on briefs from real companies, to acquire inside knowledge of the market and develop a professional outlook in touch with the reality of the sector. At the end of your studies, you’ll have created a portfolio that opens the door to the professional market

Information to decide

Start your professional career with all the technical knowledge and skills you need. Gain experience developing projects for companies, and create an outstanding portfolio.

This is a project-based master's degree, and you’ll develop some of your projects collaborating directly with companies, in constant contact with the reality of the market. This aspect is further consolidated in visits, master classes and workshops held by professionals working in the sector.

The course combines theoretical, practical and technical content with a healthy dose of creativity, and you’ll take a critical approach as you explore and develop your ideas to propose printed and on-screen, static or animated solutions, that are not only innovative, they anticipate the changing needs of an ever-evolving world.

You’ll finish the course presenting your Master's Thesis to showcase everything you’ve learned, with the help and under the critical eye of professionals working in the sector.

This course is for professionals who want to open up new job opportunities by developing a more specific profile, or want to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies and methods:

·       Graduates in Fine Arts.

·       Professionals working in Graphic Arts, Advertising or PR.

·       Interior, fashion or product designers.

·       Professionals working in non-creative sectors who use graphic design applications.

The Master's Degree in Graphic Design gives you all the skills you need to develop brand proposals and corporate visual identity, packaging, editorial design, graphics applied to spaces, for graphic production or motion graphics.

You’ll learn the fundamentals, how to use the best graphic design methods and tools, and explore other key visual communication fields, such as illustration, photography and video.

You’ll be able to count on the support of a highly qualified team of professional lecturers at all times, who’ll guide you through the course while actively encouraging a creative and stimulating environment.

And you’ll be studying in IED Kunsthal Bilbao, in close contact with the local reality, developing a multitude of economic, social and cultural relations with the opportunity to make your mark on the international scene in the IED network, with 11 schools in 3 countries on 2 continents.
